Italy Ratify the Kigali Amendment
Italy has become the 133rd country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
The country has pledged to phasedown the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% in the next 30 years. The Kigali Amendment, agreed by all 197 parties to the Montreal Protocol in 2016, will prevent an estimated 80 billion tonnes CO2 equivalent of emissions by 2050.
