Congo Ratifies the Kigali Amendment
The Republic of Congo has become the 135th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to phasedown the use of HFC refrigerants.
In ratifying the Kigali Amendment, Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville, has committed to cutting the consumption of HFCs by more than 80% in the next 30 years.
The implementation of the Kigali Amendment worldwide is estimated to prevent 80 billion tonnes equivalent emissions by 2050.
