Egypt Ratifies the Kigali Amendment

The Arab Republic of Egypt has ratified the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
Countries who ratify the Amendment commit to cutting the consumption and production of HFCs by over 80% in the next 30 years.
Egypt is the 152nd country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. It is hoped that the global implementation of the Amendment will result in preventing an estimated 80 billion tonnes equivalent emissions by 2050.
