Kuwait Ratifies the Kigali Amendment

Following its Gulf neighbours Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait has ratified the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
In ratifying the Kigali Amendment, Kuwait commits to cut the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% in the next 30 years.
It is hoped that the global acceptance of the Kigali Amendment is estimated to prevent 80 billion tonnes equivalent emissions by 2050.
