Republic of Tanzania Ratifies the Kigali Agreement
Tanzania has ratified the Kigali Amendment, making them 130th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
It is estimated that the application of the Kigali Amendment globally will prevent up to 80 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent of emissions by 2050. The Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol commits countries that ratify the agreement to phasedown the use of Hydrofluorocarbons by 80% in the next 30 years.
