Zimbabwe and Brazil Ratify the Kigali Amendment

Recently, Zimbabwe became the 138th and Brazil the 139th countries to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
Countries that ratify the Kigali Amendment commit to phasedown the consumption and production of Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) by more than 80% in the next 30 years.
It is estimated that the global implementation of the Kigali Amendment will prevent up to 80 billion tonnes C02 equivalent emissions by 2050.
Together, we can build a more sustainable future.
