Thailand Ratifies the Kigali Amendment
Thailand has become the 158th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
In ratifying the Amendment, Thailand has committed to phasing down the consumption and production of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) by 80% in the next 30 years.
It is hoped that the global acceptance of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol will prevent an estimated 80 billion tonnes emissions by 2050.
