A-Gas Announces New Fire Protection Recharge Facility in Las Vegas
Backed by over 30 years of fire protection experience, this A-Gas location brings technical expertise, best-in-class logistics, and an extensive clean agent gas and parts inventory to the western US.
February 2024 | A-Gas, a world leader in the supply and lifecycle management of clean agent fire suppression gases, announces its new facility, located in the Las Vegas Basin. Dedicated to servicing clean agent system cylinders, this facility will recharge leaking or discharged cylinders, and put suppression systems back online with minimum downtime. From the Las Vegas facility, A-Gas will support customers in Nevada, Southern California, Arizona, and Utah with one-day transit times, and the rest of the west and into the High Plains with two-day transit times.
The new Las Vegas fire protection location can recharge leaking or discharged system bottles with Halon 1301, HFC-227ea, HFC-125, NOVEC™ 1230, and FK-5-1-12. All clean agent fire suppressants sold by A-Gas either meet or exceed industry standards and come with ISO 9001-backed Certificate of Analysis, ensuring the quality of the material.
“From Seattle to San Diego, Billings to Albuquerque, and everywhere between, A-Gas' new wholly-owned and operated, dedicated facility will help us better support our customers throughout the west, providing the critical products they need, in the system bottles they need them in,” stated Tyler Roberts, Vice President of Fire Protection and Environmental Services for A-Gas. “Our team in Las Vegas is ready to assist our customers in reducing end-user downtime with fast transit times and full parts availability especially when it comes to those hard-to-find swap-in cylinders and rebuild kits.”
As with their Ohio plant, A-Gas will stock an extensive inventory of empty system cylinders of all brands and sizes for customer use under the Simple Swap program in Las Vegas. With Simple Swap, A-Gas assists customers facing a variety of time-sensitive requirements, including emergency recharges, by swapping in like hardware for the end-user's original units. After the swap-in unit is delivered, A-Gas arranges to pick up the empty or leaking cylinder as a swap-out at no extra charge. Upon receipt and recovery of a leaking swap-out, A-Gas credits the customer an agreed-to rate per pound for the agent received.
With over three decades of fire protection experience, expert logistics, and a company-wide system of quality and safety compliance, A-Gas recharges are delivered in-specification and on time. Expedited and weekend/holiday recharges are also available.
